Yoga with Satsang*

(asana, pranayama, meditation)

(asana, pranayama, meditation)

On Thursday and Saturday, classes are taught to pupils of both Tavistock College and Mount Kelly school.

A Hatha yoga class incorporating the 3 primary elements of yoga; asana (movement), pranayama (working with the breath) and meditation (working towards quietness/stillness of the mind). The class style follows the AYP (Advanced Yoga Practise) approach and is suitable for all levels of yoga experience.

*Satsang is a chance as a group to discuss and learn more about the ethical principles of yoga and how it can help us live a happier and more fulfilled life.

Cost: £5.00/ session or £25 for 6 sessions paid in advance

YinYoga/Yoga Nidra

Half the session will be dedicated to a Yin Yoga practise which is a slow paced class featuring a series of postures that are held for longer periods of time, stretching the body’s deep tissues, which is particularly beneficial in increasing flexibility of the hips, pelvis and low back

The second half of the session will be a guided Yoga Nidra practise, intended to induce total physical, mental and emotional relaxation.

Cost: £5.00/ session or £45 for 10 sessions paid in advance

I have undertaken further extra training with the Teen Yoga Foundation, specifically to share yoga with teenagers. Research amongst teenagers has shown that yoga helps them to feel more relaxed, increases self confidence and most significantly, helps to prevent adolescents turning to risk behaviours such as drug and alcohol use. This class will help provide a set of life tools which can be used to help manage exam stress, a means through which to disconnect from social media, help relationships with friends and family and importantly, become more comfortable with themselves.

Cost: £2.50/ session
