Our workshops are all linked to Patanjali’s 8 limbs of yoga and aim to
introduce or cement these important threads within our practise.
(all full day workshops include drinks and lunch)

‘Introduction to Yoga’

 

A day which provides an introduction to yoga and the three main yoga practises of Asana (movement), Pranayama (breath work) and Meditation (quietening the mind). Lets you find out what yoga is all about, what it can offer you and will put you in a confident position to start any yoga class.

‘Channelling Your Chakras’

Understanding your chakra system and how it links to your physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual health. Our chakras are important energy centres and store houses for undigested experiences/emotions, which can link to physical and emotional imbalances. We will look at each chakra, its role physically, emotionally and psychologically and methods to work in helping to balance and stimulate.

‘An Indepth Look at the Yamas and Niyamas’

A chance to become more skilled in living your life, by learning how to bring yoga into your life off the mat. The yamas and niyamas are a guide to yoga’s ethical practise, for example showing us how to live with contentment, trust, honesty and without harm, excess and dissatisfaction.  These invaluable enlightenments show us how to take ownership of our own life and to recognise we have real choice in how we live.

Half Day Workshops

‘A Morning of Mindfulness’

This morning workshop will begin with a half hour guided meditation. Then there will be an hour-long mindfulness walk (partly in silence) onto the moor from Sampford Spiney. The session finishes with a hot drink, snack and chance to chat about our observations from the morning.
